About Biodiesel
Used cooking oil is delivered to local manufacturers who turn it into biodiesel.
Biodiesel made from used cooking oil, locally:
Is carbon dioxide neutral because it is refined from a Waste product
— unlike fossil fuels, it does not contribute to a net increase in greenhouse gas CO2
Produces significantly less polluting substances from the tailpipe
— the fumes smell of French fries in contrast to petroleum diesel fumes
Non-toxic and readily bio-degradable — petroleum diesel is highly toxic
and does not readily degrade
Less reliant on distribution which causes polluting & congestion.
Proper Oils fuel all our vehicles on biodiesel from the local refinery.
