In December, Proper Oils had its annual inspection of our transport operations.
FORS is the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme – an industry-led accreditation scheme which credits fleet operators who ensure their operations are safe, efficient and sustainable, to a standard far greater than the legal minimum. Our procedures and operations were assessed by a very competent FORS auditor – Simon Wainwright, who really added value to the process.
The FORS audit processes concentrates on four key areas: Management, vehicles, drivers and operations. Within these four areas are 34 specific requirements which we are assessed against. You can find the standard on the FORS website.
The annual inspection is helpful for Proper Oils as it demonstrates to customers that we deliver, collect and recycle cooking oil in line with transport operations best practice. It also gives the Operations team here an opportunity to demonstrate that they are doing everything correctly to the other departments within Proper Oils.
Well done to Jacek and the team for passing the audit with no major action points raised.
