Graduate Trainee Program

Proper Oils are hiring and this time we want two of the best graduates to join the team.

But this is a Graduate Trainee Program with a difference.

It’s a varied training schedule – driving, sales, admin, more driving, logistics, pricing, more driving, sales etc.

Don’t particularly want to do an office or retail-based graduate program?

Would love to learn more about logistics, operations, sales and customer service?

And you’d prefer to be a key member of a small yet growing, entrepreneurial company?

Plus you have a driving licence, like being outdoors and keep yourself fit and healthy?

Well, this could be the Graduate Trainee Program for you.

We are an expanding company with excellent green credentials and a major logistics player in their field in London and the South East (with plans for growth to other parts of the UK).

If you don’t necessarily fancy working all day in an office, then this could be a good option for your next career move.

You’ll be out in the field with the delivery and collections team, understanding the needs of the customers, learning the issues the drivers face day to day and how the back office operations support these daily business activities.

Once you’ve got a solid understanding and good experience on the road, and passed your HGV2 licence, we will expect you to grasp the back office, sales, ops and customer service aspect of how the business works.

Our aim for you is to develop into an all-rounder in the business so as he company expands, your next moves could be into team management, operations or logistics.

You’ll have the following skills, experience and personality traits:

  • Good attitude (no chips on the shoulder here, thanks!)
  • A desire to learn through doing, want to better yourself and improve your skills
  • Team player – this is an absolute must
  • Ability to speak with customers
  • Able to safely lift up to 30kgs (you’ll get our manual handling and Health & Safety training)
  • Love driving (please do not apply if you don’t enjoy being behind the wheel)
  • Degree or degree level experience

Your starting salary will be £21,000 and it can increase over the course of the program.

Interviews ASAP.

We do want someone to start soon but if you have a holiday coming up, don’t let that put you off applying. If you’re the right person, a few weeks delay whilst you sun yourself won’t put us off!

We look forward to hearing from you soon….like, now!
